Throughout the course of my educational and professional experiences, I became amazed by the abilities one both acquire and form when teaching English.
Working at two Canadian high-schools and One Primary school in the Montessori system helped me realize how much I enjoy working with children coming from different backgrounds, ages and intentions. Because of that, it is very important for me to first assist the needs of the children and understand their goals in order to stimulate their interest in using the language. By fueling critical thinking through analytical questions, and by completing a wide range of new vocabulary through listening exercises, I have learned to combine both my personal and academic experiences into teaching and came to the conclusion that is is an art form on its own. Why? From the simple fact that acquiring a new language is something that needs to practiced and not as much theorized as we wish it would be.
By establishing a safe space where everyone is welcome no matter sexual orientation, gender, religious, cultural and political beliefs, I will make sure that every student feel welcomed enough to be who they ought to be. Honesty, mutual communication and encouragement are all elements that will be applied in my classroom.

Éducation
My professional and educational experiences in the teaching field is varied and diverse. while I grew up in the French educational system, I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies in the Canadian system. Moreover, I worked in both elementary and secondary schools in Canada and taught while using the hybrid teaching during Covid. I am currently working as an English teacher in the Montessori school system in Ivory Coast. The system allows me to navigate different teaching strategies and resources. It also allows me to navigate different level and teaching ages. Being in a multi level classroom develop internal and external awareness of what the students need.
Working in a Montessori school, I am familiar with the hybrid teaching because this is how we work in the school I am currently in. I am also familiar with different system of education as well as different resources and teaching methods.
