    The African Development Bank is a premier pan-African development institution, promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent.

    We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to join our team in the Treasury Department.

    This role will involve managing multiple fixed income investment portfolios for several entities of the African Development Bank Group, with the objective of capital preservation, profitability, and liquidity maintenance.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the management of the Bank's assets in its liquid currencies, executing transactions in securities and derivatives, identifying and executing investment and trading opportunities within risk parameters.

    Key responsibilities will include portfolio management, cash collateral management, developing the Investment Process and Strategic Asset Allocation, leading short-term funding strategy execution, credit analysis, external portfolio manager selection and review, market intelligence and reporting, and technical assistance to other divisions.

    The ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of experience in International Capital Markets with a strong emphasis on active management of complex fixed income portfolios.

    They will also possess strong knowledge across a wide range of asset management areas, including strategic asset allocation, Treasury instruments, structured products, Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) investing and local currency investing.

    A Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or another relevant quantitative discipline is required, along with relevant professional certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

    The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
